Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with Tudor Guest House. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Bookings
Deposit – 100% of the first night is charged on the day of booking and is non refundable.

Prices
The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, drinks etc will be charged accordingly.

Payment Details
For all reservations we require a deposit of 100% of the first night to confirm the booking. The balance is due on arrival.

We will charge this to your debit/credit card and we will send you an email or letter confirming the booking and letting you know what the outstanding balance is. If you do not receive the confirmation within 5 working days please inform us, we cannot be held responsible for your confirmation not being delivered.

We also reserve the right to pre authorise your debit/credit card at the time of booking or on your arrival.

We accept the following methods of payment:

Cash: Full remaining balance payable on check-in
Debit/credit cards: Visa, Visa Debit or Mastercard. Sorry we do not take American Express
Bank Transfer: Full remaining balance must be received 24 hours before check-in.

Cancellation Fees and Insurance
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you do wish to cancel your holiday for whatever reason, we ask for this to be done in writing by letter or e-mail and it will take effect from the date we receive the notification, we will then contact you to confirm your booking has been cancelled. If you have not received confirmation of the cancellation within 72 hours it is your responsibility to contact us. You will still be liable for the charges that apply.

The charges are as follows:
More than 28 days – loss of deposit
50% – 8 to 27 days
100% – 7 days or less and in the case of no show

This charge is payable by you to compensate us for our estimated losses.

In the best interest of our guests we strongly urge you to protect yourself against these charges by taking out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.

Changes or Amendments to a Booking
If you would like to change or amend a booking including transferring your reservation to a different date Tudor House will permit to transfer the booking more than 28 days prior to arrival without forfeiture of deposit subject to availability. Less than 28 days before the arrival date is still classed as a cancellation to your original booking. Therefore the terms as per the cancellation charges will apply. Under the discretion of Tudor House it may be possible to amend a booking this will incur an admin fee of £20.

If you decide to shorten your stay you will still be liable to pay the balance due, normal terms will apply.

Non-availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival/Departure
Your accommodation is available to you from 2pm-6pm on the day of arrival, unless by prior arrangement. Please be ready to vacate your room by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Please note if you do not vacate your room by this time you may incur additional charges.

Keys
On arrival you will be given a set of keys to the front door and for your room/s. lost keys should be reported to us straight away, we reserve the right to charge for replacement keys and locks. In the event that your keys are not returned to us at the time of departure we reserve the right to charge you the cost of replacing the keys and locks.

Groups
Sorry we do not take stag, hen parties or single sex groups

Children
Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure that the children’s behaviour is appropriate to the other guests within the guest house. Under no circumstances should children be left in a room without adult supervision. We do not take children under the age of 5 years old.

Parking
On arrival you will be given a visitor permit for the duration of your stay. This allows you to park in the permit zone area. On the day of departure the parking permit must be returned by 10am. If it is not returned at this time the following penalty charges will apply.

Within 24 Hours – £20
Between 24 Hours/48 Hours – £40
3 days or more – £100

If the permit is not returned at the time of departure, we reserve the right to charge your card the full amount of £100. On receipt of the permit any money due will be refunded accordingly within 7 days. We advise you obtain a proof of postage

Alternatively we do have a number of daily tickets valid for 24 hours from your time of arrival. Under our discretion we may use these instead of the visitor permit. We will supply enough of the daily tickets to cover the duration of your stay up to 10am on the day of departure. We will not accept responsibility if a valid permit has not been displayed correctly in your vehicle. The permit zones operate everyday from 8am – 6pm.

We are not responsible for providing a parking permit outside of the check in/check out times. Once you have departed from the Guest House if you should require additional parking a parking voucher can be purchased from the local shop for a nominal fee which will enable you to park in the designated areas.

Wi-Fi
On arrival you will be given the pass code to access the internet. Once this has been accessed you are agreeing to the terms of use. A copy of this is in the room welcome pack, a hard copy can be issued on request.

Smoking
Tudor House is strictly Non smoking throughout the Guest House. Our insurance does not permit us to allow smoking on the premises. If anyone is found to be smoking anywhere in the house we reserve the right to terminate the stay of any guest without being liable for any refund or compensation. We also reserve the right to charge a fee of £100 for cleaning and refreshing the room. Additional charges will also be made for any damaged caused.

Electronic cigarettes are treated as if they are real cigarettes and are also prohibited in the guest house.

We reserve the right to charge for the loss of the room rate that applies for the total period that the room is out of use.

Pets
Pets are not permitted.

Friends or family members of Guests
Anyone other than our guests that have booked to stay at Tudor House are not permitted to come into the house at anytime. Any persons found to be on the premises without prior permission will be asked to leave. This may also result in the paying guest also being asked to leave and additional charges being made.

Accidental Damages and Breakages
We appreciate that accidents do happen if you should damage or spill anything please will you inform us at the earliest opportunity so that we can try to rectify it as soon as possible. Normal breakages and accidents accruing in this manner will not normally be charged. Anything other than minor related items will be charged for and anything unreported will incur an additional admin charge of £20.

Mattresses – It is our policy to charge for a replacement if a spillage or soiling of a mattress occurs. The new mattress will be of the same quality.

Where accidents, damages and breakages have occurred and we are unable to accommodate a guest we reserve the right to charge for the loss of the room rate that applies for the total period that the room is out of use.

Theft
Under no circumstances does Tudor House condone theft of any kind, in the event of any items being removed anywhere within the house the guest will be charged accordingly and incur an additional admin fee of £20

Additional Charges
In the event that we are unable to obtain any additional charges listed in these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to pass your information to a debt recovery agency to recover these charges and any additional costs incurred.

Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Tudor House reserves the right to charge your debit/credit card in relation to any charges within the terms and conditions. We also reserve the right to pre authorise your debit/credit card at the time of booking or on your arrival.
