Great Yarmouth has a vast range of activities for families, the young at heart, couples and singles. There are many places to visit within a short walking distance from the house. Along the golden mile there are a vast amount of restaurants, pubs, shops and Tea Rooms. Also along the golden mile is the pleasure beach, sea life centre, bowls, crazy golf and model village. There is also the Marina Leisure Centre, Hollywood cinema and Britannia Pier which has many summer shows. There are amusement arcades and nearby horse racing, greyhound racing and banger car racing.

Just a short distance away is the newly refurbished St Georges Theatre and through St Georges Park is the town centre which has many shops. The outdoor market is held on Wednesdays, Saturdays as well as a Friday during the summer months. There is also ten pin bowling and the Palace bingo.
Every Wednesday during the school summer holiday fireworks will be on Great Yarmouth Seafront. The local radio gets into swing from 8pm – 10pm, if you have other plans, as long as you get to the seafront for 10.00pm you will still be in time for the firework display.
